Hey everyone, especially my fellow desi drivers sweating it out in this April heat! If you’ve been eyeing a Creta but felt the base models were a bit too basic, Hyundai has just dropped the perfect fix. The Hyundai Creta Summer Edition launched today (April 9, 2026), and it’s basically taking the mid-size SUV everyone already loves and sprinkling premium features on the lower and mid variants without making you jump to the top-end prices.
I’m telling you, this feels like Hyundai read our minds — summer drives, family vacations, and those long highway runs where you want extra safety and comfort. Let’s break it all down like your friendly neighbourhood car guy who’s already dreaming of test-driving one this weekend.

Creta EX(O) Summer Edition
This trim benefits from the addition of quad beam LED headlamps and daytime running lamps (DRLs), LED tail-lamps, LED turn indicators, rear window sunshade, 16-inch steel wheels with dual-tone covers and a rear camera. All-LED lighting and a rear camera are otherwise offered from the S(O) trim.
Creta S(O), S(O) Knight Edition Summer Edition
This trim only adds a dashcam, which is available only on the top-spec SX Premium and King trims of the regular Creta.
Creta SX Summer Edition
The SX trim benefits from the addition of the large 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, which is otherwise reserved only for the top King trims.
Creta SX Premium Summer Edition
Lastly, the SX Premium now additionally gets a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring and front parking sensors. Again, these features were so far limited to the King variants.
Hyundai Creta Summer Edition powertrain options
The Creta Summer Edition can be had with either the 115hp/114Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine or the 116hp/250Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine. The respective MT, CVT and torque-converter automatic gearbox options are all available. However, the 160hp/253Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variants offered on the top King and N Line trims do not see any new update.
